Over excited/ impatient due to hatch 28th May

Yes ducks (most chicks actually) take breaks. Mine took forever to hatch (but they were Muscovies and those are some tough egg shells).
Also the final stretch before lockdown is the worst part. The waiting with no changes drives me crazy, it feels like I’ve been waiting all year!

Today is day 23 for it and I'm not hearing pecking maybe a little peck but I'm not sure if it's just my ear... I'm not sure how to encourage it I've been tapping on the shell and I'm gonna start playing chick noises, but I'm getting worried plus today is the day of my trip. My friend should be able to check on it though.

Just to clarify is it chicks you are trying to hatch ?
What temp do you have the humidity at ?

Look what I got!! One pheasant and one duckling. :celebrate 4 more ducklings are unzipping, and two pheasant eggs with holes.

Yes they are chickens, silkies specifically. The humidity is at 65-68 and the heat is at 37.5. I'm also going on a trip over the weekend so I won't be able to see it until I come back but family member is keeping an eye on it.

I should also mention I got the egg by surprise when one of my friends chicken went broody over 6 eggs and ended up starving herself, and I know it's normal for them to not eat as much but her neck was getting really bad because of it (she had a deformity and needs a certain vitamin vitamin e, I believe). They ended up taking the eggs away from her and giving me the fertile one. The broody hen sat on it from Thursday to Sunday/Easter it was given to a friend for Sunday/Easter (who kept it in her bra) then I got it (same day) and this was my first time hatching so I set the temp to 38 C then about 4 days later I saw it needed to be at 37.5 C so I changed it and it's been like that until now (day 23). So I could see it hatching late because it went though a LOT the first week and 1/2. I was surprised it made it this far (and still going).
