One of my hens went blind in one eye a while back now and she's adjusted as well as a half blind hen can but on her blind side by her tail feathers is a patch of under fluff but the rest of the feathers in that patch are gone. I thought it was my aggressive roo at first but he's been gone for almost a month now I think and it hasn't gotten any better. I'm starting to wonder if she's over grooming that spot because she can't see it. And if she is, is there something I can do to stop that? I unfortunately don't think a saddle would be a good idea either, it gets very hot here and she's already black. I don't want to overheat her even more just to get her to stop over grooming one spot.

Hmm, that's an interesting issue. Any chance she has mites / lice causing extra itching? Could you use some Vetrycin or something similar to see if that would sooth her skin without being greasy?

I thought that but she's the only one who has this issue and I haven't seen any bugs when checking her out. Her skin doesn't look irritated or damaged, just featherless. I noticed a spot on her chest to, but no damage or signs of skin discomfort
