I got all my FRESH eggs in a basket.
And now one is about to hatch. Holy hen. Was not prepared for this. I bought a whole set of 14 fresh & fertile eggs off of a “neighbor” and never thought to candle them. I just stuck them all pretty-like in my Brinsea maxi ii advance and all of a sudden I just happen to be admiring them and one totally moves like a lot! Hey now! I did just start incubating hatching eggs, but I’m smart enough to realize that day old eggs don’t move! So I candled it and lo and behold Batman!
Anyone know how far along it is.

It’s a tiny little egg and it’s pearl white in color. Kind of a pinkish hue. So darn freaking gorgeous of an egg and I hope it hatches.

I am not that experienced, but it looks really close to hatch. What is your humidity at? Do you have to hand turn them? I would put it on lockdown. I have read that turning the first few days isn't as important. But it would be bad for this one.
Wow what a surprise.
Right!!! Okay thank you so much! I actually put a piece of ridged cardboard under the “ready” egg so it wouldn’t move with the auto-turning Brinsea. It has been stationary except for all the egg wiggles. I did hear peeping!!! So it should be like any hour now right? Unfortunately this Brinsea does not monitor humidity, so I am having the BF bring me a humidity gauge home from the Petco today. I have my essential oil “humidity” machine going off in there (my personal bathroom ) with bottled water in it to keep the humidity high in that room at all times. Will post room humidity gauge photos.

It could take a while from internal pip to external. Be patient! Try to sit on your hands and let the little guy come out on its own. If you try to open up the shell, the chick could bleed to death, so let it do it on its own if possible. It could take upwards of 24 hours, so be patient! I have my fingers crossed for you and this sweet baby! :) :fl

Thank you! Thank you! I saw it rocking a few minutes ago, but no sound. I’m guessing it’s taking a break. I won’t open it just yet. I understand what you mean by the bleed-out. They only peep if they internally pip right? That can’t happen before?
