OverEZ Coop -suggested mods?

ill Have the entire cubic footage of air in there exchanged 2 times per minute with that exhaust fan. There is a one square foot window, plus the two three inch round vents up top. Is that not enough?

Missed the fan part, was thinking passive ventilation.
Could be enough, using a fan will depend where the flow is moving if it will leave any 'dead' spots.

Finished power washing after disassembly. I then sprayed down with mild bleach solution. Once completely dry I’ll start caulking and priming.

Does anyone that really knows what they are talking about have suggestions for paint products? I want something that is as “organic” as possible as in the chemicals and odors affecting the birds as well as the eggs that my family will eat. I used that sealer I got from Amazon on the floor and was really happy with the results. It seems really hard and durable and it had almost no smell even when applying. Hoping to find a paint I can feel good about using on the inside. I am thinking light blue with some white trim.

I am still trying to decide where to put it in my narrow, long run. And perhaps either blocking man door (access would be via hinged roof) or chicken door (put new door for chickens on man door side). I may end up just putting in in the current coop location against the house. It’s probably better for the chickens as it divides up the run. And the crawl space vent gives cool air coming from under the house to the space underneath the coop. They love hanging out there in the heat of the afternoon. I think it would seem more spacious though to have the coop at the far end facing the gate. But the run is only 6 feet wide hence the aforementioned problems.

I will hopefully get all the sanding done this week and maybe finish Saturday morning. Caulking done on Saturday to seal up all the potential mite cracks. Then painting on Sunday. Will let cure for a week as well as install some other items like automatic door, plumbed waterer, and then that exhaust fan / electrical plugs. Hoping to have them into the new coop in a few weeks.

Sanding is needed by the way because the pressure washing really made the wood rough. Gave it like wood “hair” if that makes sense. Not because I want or need a perfect finish! Just don’t want splinters for me or the birds. But at least after the permethrin soak, pressure washing, and bleach solution misting I can feel good about it being bio-safe for my healthy girls.

I am the new proud owner of a medium OverEZ coop. Picked it up used for $200. It’s in fantastic condition! Just scraped and vacuumed it out last night and sprayed it down with insecticide, will be power washing this weekend. I am looking for ideas and pics of mods others have done as I have a week or two to clean it and do any modifications before making the switch from my current coop. Here is what my plan is so far:

Install combo dual muffin fans / electrical outlets on top of back wall
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S79SVMG/?tag=backy-20
Cover the outside of that hole with a 16x10”return register
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0064Q8ZOM/?tag=backy-20
Replace window screen with hardware cloth
Install ADOR1 automatic door in pop door location (who else has done this and did you do external or internal mounting? Pics?)
Install timer and LED light strip onto ceiling
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QD4Z7ML/?tag=backy-20
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HBT32PW/?tag=backy-20
Caulk all cracks on the interior between walls and framing, and where framing boards join together
Apply sealer to entire inside, paint floors white
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KY2Z3Y2/?tag=backy-20

Any other ideas?
How did you remove the window screen?

Please DO NOT ORDER from this company. To say im speechless, would be to understatement whereas, the severity is surreal. First, every single board was SPLIT (was not done in shipping, they actually intended to send it this way) add to this to 50% mis-cuts and even (many boards are warped). In order to use any portion or build, you'll not only need your own 2x4 & 2x2, you'll need to route or jig to get the measurements correct. I especially appreciate the Mud-Wasp nest we found inside the coop as we tried to build. We used our own deck & wood screws because the ones sent, were bent. Yes, nothing was right. The severity of the damages, shows they intended to defraud us. I tried to call. I sent photos and emails. I reached out to the finance company, who, btw is as bad or worse, as they appear to o post, trying to drive this company below a 2 rating. FINANCE COMPANY "Bread") They have conspired with this company to steal & defraud. We intend to sue in Federal Court, if necessary, as its multi-state and Diversity Jurisdiction applies. If you oreder from these people, you deserve what you get.
