Overgrown Beak

Hi, friends! I recently got two Golden Comet hen and they’re as sweet as can be! I have noticed that their beaks are slightly overgrown, but not to the point that it incapacitates them. Should I try and file/clip the overgrown parts? Thanks in advance!

If the overgrown part is keeping them from eating properly, I would for sure clip them. I think you can use human nail clippers or dog/small animal nail clippers. A file would probably work too. Good luck!!

You can clip off some of the overgrowth, much like a dog or cat's nail, and/or use an emery board to file it back. But photos will help a lot to see how bad it is, plus if there's any other issues.
