The other duck we visit twice a week has recently found a quicker way to get across the pond, she used to just slowly swim over. It's very sweet, she sees us coming and comes right over to say hello
Not the best quality video but still cute.

She's pretty much been the only duck there for years. Gosh, I think it's been like 3 or more years since we started feeding her.Gorgeous ducks, that Muscovy is the only duck there? Besides the Runner drake? I’ll have to get [USER=523466]@DuckyDonna to the rescue. I’d take her.
Ya, Sara's talking about 2 different parks. I think the one with the fancy ducks and the muscovy is in a retirement village? IDK but it's not the park where the angel wing geese and the little runner is. I should go try to catch that little guy. What's one more drake!Aww that’s so sweet. The Muscovy May have flown in our got dumped they are good flyers . Hard to tell from a distance but it looks to be a females Yep got enlarged a female for sure.
@Runner duck mom, is that little runner still there? Oh this park is heartbreaking when you go and sit by the lake and they all gather around you. Some of the geese have terrible angel wing! I tried to catch that little runner last summer but I couldn't get near it.

yes, I could ask runner duck mom to come with me and am considering it. I could not care less about "rules". That duck is not a wild duck! It's a fawn/white runner that someone has dumped at the park. I'm amazed that he's still alive!Have you considered going back to the park with a couple of friends and maybe some kind of lightly weighted net? You know, just going for a straight-up capture rescue? Assuming runner ducks are considered to be a domestic species you should be on firm legal ground in terms of doing a rescue like that. Though you should probably still check with your state's Department of Agriculture/Interior/Wildlife just to make sure.
