I bought meat chickens once and did the processing at nine weeks? Any way, I had one processed, head removed, skin removed, but if you touched it, it would still "flex" kinda creepy.

Yep, we used to do that, too with our spent hens, until I discovered what a wonderful broth you can make with those flavorful carcasses. You can cook them, pick off the meat, and freeze that for later. Use it in chili, enchiladas, chicken soup, stew or hot dish, tacos....I don't have to gut, since I only remove the breast and the legs.
I'm telling you, gut those birds and make broth. It makes the best soup ever!soup is nice.
I dont eat any eggs but i would like to...I notice that the store bought eggs do taste different as i have tried a egg a while ago that they laid..but now knowing that ill probably eat them more often./Oh...i was scrabbling and feeding the eggs back to themIf you're collecting eggs every morning, they will be fine. (What are you doing with them, if you're not eating them?) Personally, I think you're more likely to get sick from store-bought eggs than your own home grown ones. When you hear about salmonella outbreaks, it's usually from the commercial egg producers, not a backyard flock. Due to heavy predator losses, I don't have chickens at the moment, so I have not been eating my regular eggs and toast breakfast. I can't stand store eggs any more! Your eggs should have a nice, dark yolk and a lot more flavor than those you buy in the store. Once you start eating them, you won't go back.

I might actually do it...soup is nice.
You're killing me! Where do you live? I'll come take those eggs and roosters off your hands. I lied - the meat and eggs are terrible. You don't want them. Really.
