Overwhelmed and in Need of Experienced Advice on Reliable Hatcheries for Blue Ameraucana (Not EE), a

If I were going for show i would agree but I'm into it more for the eggs and meat. i believe I got lucky this time
It sounds like you did well. I like the breed for a couple of reasons: 1 The Egg Color, 2. The Heritage.

I have ordered Blue, Black, Splash Ameraucanas from www.whitmorefarm.com and look forward to receiving them this coming Spring. I prioritized my purchase not only by my need for purebred, bred for the standard, bred for efficiency - but also bred for vitality and health. Will Morrow is the only breeder I know of that raises his flock on pasture and also tests for the optional parts of NPIP like MG, Salmonella, MS etc. I won't receive my chicks till April, but I have heard nothing but good about him. I was also sorely tempted to buy some of each of his other breeds, but I don't want to get too many breeds this time and have that much complication.
