Owl got in peafowl pen

wow! Owls are pretty dangerous! I had no idea. We did not hurt the owl, we opened the pen gate and it flew off. The owl has the hurt eye, though, and I don't know if it will survive.

A Great Horned busted the netting I had on the top of my pen (this was before I finally opened my wallet and bought Top Flight) and tried to get my green spalding male. Romeo (the male) got out and was gone for a few weeks. I found him down the road and he had lost some feathers, but no real damage. I think the owl didnt see the netting.

Good thing you got your peacock back! When we first put the netting up we had to rescue a few little birdies that didn't see the netting but now they seem to be used to it being there.
