Torrid's iron foot clicked shamelessly against the hard stone beneath his feet. His eyes were so cold they were needly sharp shards of ice. His feathers were so dirty he looked like a Sooty. Torrid snapped at a worker flying by with some coals in his beak to keep moving. The owls below him worked nonstop, they all kept their eyes on him.
