sorry for your loss about 6-7 years ago an owl took our whole flock first our 6 hens then i saw him take our leghorn roo he was about 10lbs he hit him an draged him about 20ft across the ground then flew off with him.now my daughter does all the chicken farming an she locks them up every night an in the morning she lets them out before she gets on the bus once the sun is up pretty good.i was lazy an just left there door open so they would come out at like 4 30 am.
