Owners being selfish

i would talk to her about the duck and offer to take her back and fix the issues for her. then if need be you could put her down and tell her the poor thing just didnt make it.

I already tried that.
But She's just a vicous person in general.
I depend on her for rides to his house to see my boyfriend on the weekend and if im on bad terms with her then she WILL make our lives miserable.
She wont let me go over their house or anything.
She will argue to me about how mer name is on the vet bills and papers. But i have the receit of when i got her form Ideal.
x.x This all just sucks.
I just was her yesterday. Still no progress.. accept she 'lifted her head' herself and tried to primp herself. Thats it. 4 days and now she should be at like her 100%....

Thats the thing. There is no more 'fixing'. The vet has tried everything in medicine to help her. I'd hate to see her die but its the humane thing to do here.
She dosnet have a quality life. thats why i made the decision in the first place. I Never wanted to let her get this bad. Its not fair.

ɱůşçōvý :

Is this duck crested? Neurological problems are common in crested ducks in varying degrees.

Honestly, I do suspect that this duck is going to die irregardless of what you do/don't do. If it's having seizures on a constant basis there's a good chance that it's suffering needlessly (oxygen deprivation) whether it is being well taken care of or not and personally I imagine it'll not last long one way or another.

The poor thing needs to be put down, IMO.

SHE is. A Female crested, a double crest actually, two humps. I'm going to look for some diseases/conditions that can come from Crested ducks.'

Thats quite a conincidence. In the beginning the Vet saw that she was under weight so they gave her a vitamin suppliment. That was the only time she got better. I personally always thought it was the vitamins. But the thing is i feed all my ducks the same food as she gets? Could it just be something she has that effects her vitamin intake or something o.o

I dont know

I fed all of mine the same food, and only two of them had a problem. One got really bad, but is getting better now. My runners never had any problem at all , it was just the saxony.

Exactly. I would give two flip less what the woman thinks..she is HIS mother not yours...the duck is suffering and cannot feed herself or care for herself. It is time for intervention and the woman does not have the compassion and love enough for the duck to do what is best for it...then force her to do it. Let the humane society take the duck and give her a ticket or prosecute for neglect.

Nothing burns my butt more than for someone to sit back and let an animal suffer because they are spineless and selfish.
