Owww! Little Dinosaur Pecked My Eye!

One of my buffs pecked my four year olds eye. It was red and watery for a while. He still holds her and he puts his hands up like a shield it so cute.

They do it when yo least expect it.

The eye doc says it's not too bad and will call in a prescription for antibiotic eye cream if it gets goopy. Whew.

I keep a pretty good eye out (pun intended) if I'm holding one, so they can't get too close to my eyes. Yeah, she snuck it in when I was messing with a different chicken.

I already have to watch my back when I'm bending over, because a few of them think that up on my back or shoulder is the best place for a lookout. I don't encourage this, but since I wear tank tops all the time in this heat sometimes I get stuck carefully trying to get her off without getting scratches from standing up too abruptly. I had a camera down there the other day and shot over my shoulder to see what Daisy was doing while I was trying to get her to jump off. She seems quite comfy.
