Oxygen egg?

Other factors? And it’s ok. Just take a deep breath. You still have the others in the incubator?

This is so hard for me to know I killed it. I am sorry! I wish so bad I had been more careful smart and noticed my mistake. I wish I could take it back.

Ok, just realized you said quail. I was quoting chicken incubation time. I’m sorry! I found the following about quail eggs.....

The incubation period for bobwhite quail eggs is 23-24 days. Here is a link to information on incubating bobwhite quail eggs http://www.farmingfriends.com/incubating-bobwhite-quail-eggs/
The incubation period for Coturnix (Japanese) quail eggs is 17 days. Here is a link for information about incubating japanese quail eggs. http://www.farmingfriends.com/incubating-coturnix-japanese-quail/

If they are coturnix, they should’ve hatched by now most likely. It doesn’t sound like anything you did wrong. Did you buy these eggs from someone else?

Thank you for your help and your time. I really needed it and the information you gave me is wonderful.

If there’s a chance they are bobwhite, you still have some days to wait.... if not, I’m afraid you may not have any viable babies. :hit

Here is another link to hatching coturnix quail eggs. It says:
Coturnix quail go from being an egg to laying eggs in 8-9 weeks. Crazy, right? The first 17 days are spent incubating and days 18 and sometimes 19 are spent hatching. Much like chickens, there is no calendar in that egg, so quail chicks may begin to arrive as early as day 16 and as late as day 20.

So, if your eggs went into the incubator on 9/25, 10/13 - 1/15 would be the 18 to 20 day range). If no hatch or pips by then I would try that float test.
