Oxytetracyline and Tetracycline Powder Doses

Yes!  Great resource for all of us.  Could you add Tylan powder too?

I did some looking around, it is one teaspoon per gallon of water.  Just my luck when I was looking for it a couple of weeks ago I stopped at the first post that said per five gallons, no wonder I am still having problems.

The info I have says one teaspoon has 2500-2700 mg tylosin.
I'll pick the 2500 number...
2500/3785 = 0.66 mg/ml
50 mg per pound = 110 mg/kg
If 1000 gram chick drinks 5% per day, that's 50 ml.
That 50 ml has only 33 mg tylosin, which is not enough

The correct amount to use will depend on how much they drink per day. If they're drinking just 5% it's not enough.

@KsKingBee, can you confirm the weigh of one teaspoon Tylan powder?

Okay, thanks! Let me redo the math. BRB,

Right at three grams per teaspoon.

I have a brooder with 30 late hatch peas. Last week treated for round worms with Valbazen 0.50 ml per bird, so I mixed 15 ml in 1 1/2 gallons of water. The next morning the waterer was dry, I think they have been drinking about two gallons per day.

Average weight on them?
