Rules for cohabitating with a bobcat:
1) Do not leave meat on the counter unless you want whats left of it in the middle of your bed.
2) DO NOT LEAVE THE TOILET SEAT UP
3) Do not leave the washer lid up with the washer full of water
4) Keep all eggs out of reach as a bobcat finds it entertaining to slap them off in the floor. One by one
5) Do not plan to have other animals cohabitate with it unless you want vet bills and funeral expenses
There are too many rules to list!!

LOL that would suck! Good thing you didnt pet him!
I do feed him raw chicken, just not my chickens! LOL He gets his chicken from Harps. I also feed him deer meat, fish and organ meat. He has eaten a feathered chicken before, I gave him a culled rooster. I gave it to him already dead because he would torture the poor thing to death. Ive seen what he does to a mouse. It is not quick. ( He has to play with it first, slap it around and sling it through the air. )NOT A HUMANE DEATH.

Pretty much! Can a regular cat drag the hindquarter of a deer across the house on your carpet and hide it under your bed? LOL

Unless this one was a rescue/rehab situation, I would have thought you wouldn't be allowed to keep a bobcat after its rehabilitation was finished. (I also have to assume it may depend on where you live and what state laws happen to be). Just in case, I think you should be cautious where you share your pix and with whom; if they can be traced back to you, it may end up with your loss of the bobcat and its possible euthanasia. It has happened on many occasions when the game wardens or conservation dept. finds out someone has kept a wild critter, even if doing so saved its life. There was a major outcry over here because they were going to kill a squirrel a woman had rescued as a tiny baby, and the locals put up such a fuss they finally backed off (it was a very close call). A family about an hr. from here had raised a male orphaned fawn whose mom was killed. It had grown up and was about 4-5 yrs. old, and they planned to move from KY to IN. When they inquired about permits to do so, they were informed it was illegal to keep an antlered deer, it couldn't go with them to IN because of CWD threat, and it couldn't be released into the wild because they'd had it since birth and it wouldn't have its natural fear of people. The conservation dept. killed the deer. Quaker parrots are illegal in KY but not in IL, so an acquaintance here in KY refers to hers as her "green parrot", which it is, but she figures if they can't tell, she's not going to volunteer the info. Find a way to (anonymously) check into your state's laws governing that type situation, or play that situation close to the vest...
Anyway, Take good care of your big spotted house cat ...

It's beautiful.

Thanks for the concern, but I have owned him for 8 years,(since he was 6 weeks old, )I researched all laws and I am liscenced to have him through the Agricultrual Dept. Our game and Fish laws dictate you can have 5, but once domesticated may not be released into the wild. ( or sold or given away for that matter) But I appreciate the info anyway.
