I finally got around to candling mine tonight. One dud out of 10 in the first group due March 6. None in the March 10 group.  I'm surprised, cause it was pretty cold during the day when I collected these.

Not necessarily. I think Blarney was on day 20 of her hatch yesterday . Do you hear anything or see any movement yet?

Nope, nothing. 12 hours until day 20. Maybe I'll have a pip when I get home.

Slightly high or low temperature during incubation can cause early or late hatches. I've heard of 23 - 25 days.
I will also admit I once set 18 eggs and only had 7 at lockdown and got 0. The only choice I had was to try again!
Don't get discouraged! There are a ton of variables!

First 12 in lockdown. 4 Swedish flower and 8 barnyard mutts. This run was to check out equipment for the big hatch starting next week. If the mutts hatch, I guess I can use them as layers.

Chicken person - hoping you see or hear something when you get home!

You're lucky! My eggs are on day 19 and not so much as an internal pip I'm very nervous! I added a warm and wet paper towel just now to bump up the humidity. It was 56% before the paper towel. Blarney, when did your eggs start pipping or showing any signs of hatching?
