The Button Quail are a PITA to catch. I too worry they might hurt themselves while they flutter all around the cage in a desperate attempt not to get caught.

Cleanup is easy.....

I also have a Pheasant here too....

Yes Pete,what kind of pheasants do you raise?I raise impeyan,swinhoe,eliot,mikado,temminick trags,blue eared,brown eared,amherst,lewis silver,grey peacock,and black ringneck.And quial in african harlequin and bobwhites.Also diamond doves and cockatiels.

I have one Pheasant right now, and he was given (like the rest of the farm) too me. I will have to ask the Father in Law what he is.

The Pheasant is now in the cage next to the Quail. At some point soon, he will make it into the stew pot....

Gratuitous shot of the Quail. I was told they are Button Quail. I have no reason not to believe it....

Sadly the bird between the two bottles (with the white stripe) passed away a few days ago.

They have been giving me a couple eggs a day for about a week now.

Of all the birds here, for some odd reason, these guys are my favorites.
