Packaging butchered birds

I was wanting to know what is the best things to freeze whole chickens in? What kind of bags to make sure you get all the air out? Also what about freezing whole quail?

I vacuum sealed mine last summer. Worked great!

Shrink bags for both heat some water bag an animal then zip tie shut

skip to 6:00 for just the shrink bag thing

My faves, excellent product and keeps chickens sealed for years! The turkey bags are super too and will hold up to a 40lb bird.

Awesome. I found a place that sells them pretty cheap. They even sell them for cut pieces. I'm sure those would work for quail. And I'm only raising four turkeys this year. So the thing of buy individual bags is wonderful.
