Hi! I sent out 40 in a large FRB. I could have used FRB1 if I'd used little bubble bubblewrap to line the box, but I used big bubble bubblewrap instead.
They all arrived intact, but I haven't gotten a 'candling report' yet.

I use the big #7 boxes (12" X 12 " X 8") and the max I will pack in one of those is 24. I use tops & bottoms of cartons to hold eggs still, and I can only fit two cartons in one box. It works very well, but I'd love to be able to not use the cartons...

Thanks so much for offering to show your packaging technique; I can't wait to see your pics!

I don't see how that many RIR eggs can fit into a small box. The most I am able to ship is 32 in a 12x12x8 priority box. I have done this 6 or 7 times with no breakage. I put bubble wrap in bottom, a layer of 16 eggs each in bubble wrap bags, fill in outside space (usually only an inch between box and edge of eggs) with shredded paper, another layer of bubble wrap, another layer of 16 eggs and then fill in with shredded paper and I am at top. My eggs are large to extra large. When I am done the box weights between 5.5 to 6 lbs.
