Packing Peanuts from Ideal today...what do yours look like?

They look like production reds, perhaps sexlinks, or even BR's.... they might not be roo's either. Unless the black ones are black sexlnks. Time will tell, but maybe you got lucky!

I did read on one of the threads on here that on Tue afternoon there were no chicks let in the building, at Ideal. I looked at their wings and it does appear that the red ones have un even wing feathers and the black ones are all even. I thought that only worked on sex links. Any advise?

One of the breeds that I actually ordered was a Barred Holland. I wonder if that is what the Black ones are? But the black ones that you see a photo of are much darker. It is really hard to find photos of baby chicks, that are identified. Thanks for everyones comments.

I received my order from Ideal yesterday. There were 10 peanuts.

1 Cayuga duckling (I ordered two and they included an extra)
1 Golden Phoenix (I ordered one and they included an extra)
6 RIR (or similar breed)
And 2 that appear to be EE, but I'm not sure yet. We ordered 2 EE, and got the other two as extras, but they don't have the same color pattern. I'll post a new thread to see what others think.

I think the black ones are either a black star or Australorp with the dark legs. Rocks should have yellow, right? They look the same as my Australorps did. AND the packing peanuts are not always roosters like people commonly think, they are leftovers though.

I received 9 'packing peanuts' (8 males, 1 female) that looked just like yours with my Barred Holland order from Ideal. They're two weeks old now and getting light colored splotches on their shoulders (except the female):
