I thought the way the PFM thing was phrased said that it gives you the option to disable the adds which implies that you can remove them or not however you want to go about it.

That might be left-over from years ago when we were on a different system that allowed people to turn them on / off.

As it is now, if you're a PFM, you don't see ads.

(...and since I'm not a PFM, I see all the ads. I want to make sure I'm having the exact same experience on BYC as the majority of our users )

Interesting take on it Nifty but yes can see why..
Seems the problem may be resolved today.
