Pain medications??

Hi!
I'm wondering what pain meds can be used for chickens/doves? I have a dove that has a lot of small wounds and is in a lot of pain. What medications do you all recommend getting? I want to always have something on hand that can be used for poultry as well.


Just for your info, going to a avian vet is not an option as I don't have one in the area.

What are the wounds from?

Meloxicam is the most commonly used pain medication for birds, but this does require a prescription.

I'd keep her in a quiet place that is calm and semi-dark, keep her warm.
