paint for coop

Like someone said, Oops shelf at Lowe's and Home Depot. I painted my entire bathroom, couple of fences and coops with paint from there. It's not cheap paint either. Mistint that is mark down as low as $1 for a can of trim paint!!

I painted mine a light lemon yellow and my chickens seem to be happier than the color I had before. I did some reading and research and found out that chickens can see color. Word of advice don't paint RED I learned the hard way.

I avoided reds and red like colors as the birds tend to peck at them. It may just be an old wives tale.. but as I'm married to one and that's what she said, I'm sticking to it.

I've painted every thing whatever colors I could find. Pink, pinkish-lavender, green, lime, skyblue, Sun Yellow, Lemon Yellow, John Deer Green, Sand, Coral(just used the last of that today, lol), Orange, maroon (my first coop was a goldish orange and maroon ASU colors, lol)

I will have to take pictures of my "fence" it's a combination of pickets mounted on deck boards and pallets. Each Pallet is a different color. The pickets are Coral and Turqouise. Think Mexican Cabana!!

Best think is, I didn't spend more than $5 a can!! Ooops shelf!!
