Painting roosts and inner coop?

I'm building a new coop for my bantams, and I have this really nice wood that is used for siding on houses ( idk if it is even wood, but its really heavy and kind feels synthetic) any who... Should I pain the inside of my coop? also, I built some roosts out of scrap un-finished 2x4's, should I paint these? thanks!

If you want to be able to keep them clean, you should paint. I used barn and fence paint that is non toxic, however alot of people use a semi gloss for even easier cleaning.
