Pale yoks?

I give my chickens many things. Please don't get your panties in a wad. I don't give them all these things every day. Some only once every other month, ok? They love grapes, yogurt, lettuce, cabbage, grains, scratch, melons and ice! Because everything green is dead this time of year and it's 104 degrees I put ice in their water daily and feed them greens every week. They love ice cold cabbage when it's hot! Their yolks are orange and people love my chicken's eggs. I sell them! (Yes, I have a license to do so!) Oh, I see them catching lizards too! Last week one hen had a mouse, yuk. :frow

I feed them most of those things on that list weekly.... your chickens have a great diet btw;) I think she is just getting older.... she is very picky too:oops:

Once my husband bought a large bag of carrots in the fall to use for deer hunting and didnt end up using them so i fed them to the chickens.
It took like 2 months feeding about 2 carrots a day. And wow my yolks were just as orange as the carrots at the end.
@50-45-1 How do you feed carrots to chickens...cut them up in tiny pieces....or.... just let them peck at them...or....?
