I was just told by a lady who also sells eggs (she bought some from me because she sells so many that she doesn't have any left for herself) that my yolks were quite a bit paler than hers. Mine are on a locally manufactored organic feed, hers are on the typical Purina fair. Not sure if I am looking at a some kind of problem that should need supplements or if it is just fine. I have a couple of hens that produce a darker yolk, one that produces a lighter yolk and most are right down the middle. I just kind of assumed that breed played a part in the variation. Any ideas?
