how are those new Hampshires doin ?I love the look of pallet coops when the builder takes the time to bust the pallets down, and use that wood for the siding. These look great!

El pollo, nice looking. Are you going to use a timer for the light source for your egg production?
Ok ga boy and too fast here is my take on the atlanta style coop i wanted for a breeding pen i finished up the run panels this evening and will have it moved to its home location and run all bolted up saturday so i will post the finished pics then dementions for the coop are 45x48x40 high two 12x12x15 external nest boxes for easy egg collection it has a ceramic light fixture to give 14 hours of light to maximize egg output as my primary use will be for breeding four hens and a roo per sesion run demensions are 45x 9 foot with one roost bar and removable poop pan
They are fine, one is a roo. They seem to roost together a lot, but I don't think they are married yet. Too young for that!how are those new Hampshires doin ?
I like how tall it is inside. Pallets make an easy structure to add siding to.
I want something just like this
. Yes I run my hen house on a 15 hr light cycle I have it turn on at dusk before my hens return to roost and it runs for five hrs then off so they get a natural sunrise it has almost doubled my egg production from my laying flock well worth the effort to run power out to the coop I hope to get the same effect with my breeding hens in this new coop and run a egg per day should allow me to hatch 40 or 50 chicks a monthEl pollo, nice looking.
