Pallet coop time!

Have been stalled due to holidays and being sick. Coop hasn't had any progress since these last photos, but chicks have grown. 4 weeks old! I got to get a move on! I will be putting them out in the coop in 6 weeks so need to get it finished up and ready to rock and roll with a run!

I am new and this is my first post. I just began the adventure of a pallet coop. My coop will be 10x.7. It will be about 90% pallet wood. Everybody on here has great idea's. Everybody

Thought I'd show you what I did it also doubled as a garden for my mom earlier this year. Saved a lot more time and made more pens out of it :

I might steal some of this idea. I've got an old truck out in the yard that we're trying to get rid of it, pretty much just need the guy to show up with a flatbed to haul it out of here. Right now the girls have one heck of a dust bath area going on under it. I'm kinda thinking of setting up something with pallets there if and when he ever gets the truck the girls can keep that dust bath spot for when they're free ranging, having a bomb shelter area for when hawks do a flyby, and having a little garden area to grow a few things as well.

I got the Add-A-Motor D-20 Chicken Coop door motor for Christmas! My wife loves me, and more importantly has embraced my insane love/want to raise chickens!

I haven't posted in a long time...but this thing is FINALLY completed! Here is a side view of the coop. 2 doors on this side of run for ease of tossing leaves and grass in the lower end and room to get a rake in there and mix it up. 2 barrel bolts on each door so nothing can get in.

And here is the bedding inside. I used a full 7 cubic foot bag of low dust pine shavings and half a bag of recycled paper. It is 4-6" deep and comfy! Chickens go in tomorrow!
