Pallet Coop

We are totally new to chickens, we decided to build our coop with pallets from the local airport. We used milk crates for nesting boxes and an old antenna for a roost. Hope this works, the girls will be arriving at the end of the week.

They were $60 each, so not too bad. They are just a simple shed window with sliders.

Keep an eye out on craigslist, sometimes you can find free stuff. Also sometimes if people are renovating/replacing old windows they will give away the old ones.

Look at that snow. I live in Alaska and have no snow, brown yard with grass just prouting through

Been looking on CL for quite some time and not finding what I need. I think I am going to call a window installer and see if they have old ones

I got all the windows for my coop from E-Bay, for cheap. Check out the link below. If you are close, go get them, if not there are plenty more on the site to look at. All my windows were shipped with no problems, except for some loose window glazing, which I replaced anyway.
