Palm trees safe??

maybe a dumb question but are palm (king/queen) fronds safe to have inside quail enclosures?

I don't have palms here in IL, but I have seen plenty in areas I've visited. I cannot imagine they would pose much threat. Some get very large, which could pose a threat to the enclosure itself, but I doubt they'll harm the birds. The fruits of queen palm are known to upset a dogs stomach, but are not said to be lethal for dogs. Not certain about quail, but various birds consume palm fruits and aid in spreading their seeds actually.

@BReeder! ... I have some palms that their fronds will fall off of.. a pretty one fell off and wanted to put in my quail enclosure for them to play inside of/hide under... but wasn’t sure if safe... like if they pecked at it... being the little nosey buggers that they are

LOL. Quail definitely are nosey. I don't think the frond would harm that at all. Go for it. ;
