I’ve been keeping chickens for 14 years and this is the first time I’ve seen this. I lost the chicken the other day. Still don’t know why, but I think she might’ve been egg bound. There were no respiratory issues. Three days later, I have a chicken (four years old) who is panting. The others are not, it’s a warm, overcast day here. Not too hot. She is laying down more often than she is walking. she did lay an egg yesterday. Otherwise no nasal discharge, no watery eyes, no rasping sound when she breaths...her wattle looks good. It seems her appetite is a little bit down. Wanted to get your collective thoughts. I’d like to try to treat her as soon as possible. Thanks!

What is the temperature? I know you said it wasn't too hot, but she could just be different. Does her breathing sound strange? Does she feel bloated?

It’s 86° and overcast. Not humid. This isn’t a normal behavior for her. She doesn’t seem bloated, she Is still running away for me when I try to touch her. I don’t hear any strange sounds when she’s breathing.
