1) Black Swedish Duckling, 3 weeks old, 1.47 pounds
2) Panting and “quacking” at the same time when laying down. Acts normal when standing. Started some wheezing today.
3) Panting has been present 3 days, wheezing started today.
4) Not really sure, one pants under the heat source only.
5) No trauma known, no blood present.
6) Only thing I can think of is we let them swim before 3 weeks old or we have caught her eating wood chips.
7) Purina Flock Raiser Crumbles w/ added nutritional yeast, vitamin/electrolytes water, plain water. Appetite is normal.
8) Poop is normal.
9) I have put VetRX under her wings and given her 2 drops orally.
10 ) I would like to treat at home. I have Cipro 500mg and Doxy 100mg on hand. I do have access to veterinarian, but it is VERY expensive and not specialized in waterfowl.

12) Brooder is: 150 gallon stock tank, heat plate at 80 degrees, ambient temperature is 70 degrees. We were using pine shavings but we caught her eating them and removed them. Replaced with towels and blankets.
