Paralized Rooster Please anyone?

It really sounds like Mareks! It affects the legs, making them unable to eat, but they stay alert all the way to the end....

I hope for your sake that isn't what happened!
Sorry. I meant WALK, not eat...

I have a chicken that has similar symptoms only he is eating, he is positioned on his side & no matter how I move him, he goes back to that side the right side with his feet out, when I try to stand him up he just falls over. So I have isolated him and he is inside. Any suggestions? These are my first chickens I have 6 this is the only one that is having problems.

Go to Hen cam.com and look. She has some ideas under FAQS and has had some success. I am new at this chicken thing too. Good luck.

Dear friend,

Many people do not believe in Homeopathy and ignore any advice given. If you love your rooster its worth a try. I have treated many cases of paralysis with this remedy.

Measure 3 cc water in a syringe, put it in a cup and add four drops each of the medicine mentioned below. You can also use pellets instead of drops ( whichever is available but do not touch the pellets with hand). Mix well in measured water and give to bird with tube.

Gelsimium 30 + Causticum 30.

You will notice the improvement in condition in few hours. Repeat every 8 hrs till cure.
When bird starts to stand give vitamin B .
