I've had two encounters that I can remember. It was around 2 or 3 years ago, and one night around 3:00 AM, I had to use the bathroom. I got up and walked down the hallway as I would usually do, but then I noticed a light on in the living room. Sitting in a chair next to that light was a very, very pale figure, wearing a blue and gold tie-dyed t-shirt and it had no eyes, only black sockets. Terrified, I froze and watched it, and its black holes where its eyes should be seemed to swallow me. Eventually, I broke out of it and sprinted back to my room and proceeded to shake out of terror for the next few hours before I could go to sleep.

The next time, it was the same figure, in the same blue and gold tie-dyed t-shirt, but it was in the bathroom, once again around 3:00 AM, and it was messing with the water faucets. I didn't stick around long enough to be sucked into the black depths of its sockets again, but I was around 3 feet away from it, which was extremely terrifying and it took me a few hours to calm down enough to go to sleep again.

Since then I've never gotten out of bed between 2:00 AM and 4:00 AM in fear that I might see it again

That would scare anybody.

That's alot.

Our house was built in 1975, but our hauntings are due a traveling Poltergeist. A few years ago, I was sitting on the couch watching TV when all the sudden I heard a 'click' from the kitchen, so did my cat. My cat creeped over, & looked into the kitchen. I sat there for a minute thinking it was nothing. I started hearing a light hum, so I got up, & walked into the kitchen. I looked over at the fridge, & it was wide open, so I closed it. I tested the suction, it was nice, & strong, & couldn't be blown open by a breeze, or draft. I told my mom about it a few minutes later.
I believe 99% of "hauntings" can be explained by rational investigations, but I cannot explain what I ve seen/heard. I have lived or been in old homes most of my life and know the sounds of the house "settling" pipes rattling etc.
I do believe areas of negative energy (battlefields, violence, etc are hot spots for activity). But sometimes good can also manifest itself. My mother told me that we she was in her teens her Great Grandmother passed away and they were very close. A few nights of heavy grief and she awoke to see her Great grandmother sitting at the foot of the my moms bed. She didn't say anything just looked at my mother and was gone. My mom said she never felt scared or uneasy but rather almost comforted by the encounter

My Grandpa's brother died a couple days ago, maybe he'll get a visit sometime by his ghost.

I know that most hauntings can be explained, but alot of the stuff we experience at our house can't be.

Bread being thrown on our heads, & on the floor.

1 gallon of Laundry detergent flying off the shelf, slamming into the side of the washing machine.

Shaving Cream flying off the sink, & lands near the bath tub.

Refrigerator door opening by it's self.

A decorative knife gets slammed against it's holder.

Swinging chandelier.

And a lot more stuff has happened.
