Found in one of my chickens poop as I was cleaning the coop this morning…. She’s a 1.5 yr old leghorn. No signs of illness…. About 1.5 inch long actually… should I be worried about her?

That is a large amount of intestinal lining. I would get some Corid or amprollium and treat for possible coccidiosis. Depending on the age of your chickens, I might also treat for worms.

She’s 1.5 yr old. I deworm with safeguard every 3-4 months. No signs of illness other than this one poop…. Other feces looks normal…

I doubt it's worms since you worm your birds every 3-4 months.
This might be just a one time event. If it happens again it wouldnt hurt to give your Leghorn a 5 day Corid treatment. Corid isnt an antibiotic, eggs are okay to eat.

Thanks for the advice. I did rotate today to zimectrin gold since this was the time for deworming anyway. I never used zimectrin gold only febendazole and regular Ivermectin in the past…. Lo and behold a different chicken popped out dead tapeworms a few hours laster! Guess treating for tapes every 6 months is a good idea now since the others don’t cover them….

My leghorn layed a lash egg today 😞 Anyone experience this?

Yes pretty sure it’s a lash egg 😞 pics attached… Does anyone have experience with this? she’s perky and acting mostly normal. I know chickens hide their pain. Sometimes I notice her laying around a little more than the others but most of the time she’s running around with the flock and is eating/drinking. Pic of my little penny girl hope she survives, don’t care if she stops laying….

Lash eggs and salpingitis are very common in hens. They can live fairly normal lives with it. Hopefully she will eventually stop laying altogether. When the eggs come down the oviduct, they sometimes reverse tract and go back out the top into the abdomen. Some people get their vets to use expensive hormone implants to stop them from laying for 4-6 month periods. Antibiotics rarely help at this point. I would prefer to just let them live out their lives as normally as possible, and consider putting them down if they are suffering. They may stop eating one day, and other chickens will peck them.
