Parents are not staying with chick

The parents aren’t staying with their chick he is about two weeks old .the parents are breeding and nest making ,we’re finding the baby out in the middle of the cage .what do I need to look for if their not going to take care of this chick ,he had a pretty full crop this morning. I will hand feed if necessary I don’t want anything to happen to this baby .

Exactly correct. Parents are often (usually, ideally) prepping the next nest before the last one of fledged. A full crop indicates that this bird is being cared for.
