I have a 5 month old Gold Laced Wyandotte, and lately her comb has been looking strange.
She is the only one in the flock with a rose comb, and over the course of a couple days the back of it has turned black and stands up straight, where before it was parallel with the rest.
I'm unsure if its due to illness, bullying, or something else, but it's worrying.
Also, when taking the photo below, I noticed a shiny red section near the base. Possibly from being pecked?
Aside from her comb, she looks, feels, and acts normal. She doesn't seem to be bothered by it.
What cause seems most likely, and what action should I take?

Either someone in your flock pecked her comb really hard or she got it caught somewhere. The discolored portion is going to fall off eventually.

I would use something like Vetricyn to keep the still raw part where they might be continuing to peck because there's fresh blood and keep her separate but in sight of everyone until there's no more blood or freshly exposed flesh left.

It won't grow back but she'll be just fine.
