Partridge, Blue or Brown Red Silkies?? Hens or Roos??? [Many Photos]

I have 2 silkies that have been confusing from the start!

Val (#1) was hatched solid BLACK and I thought he would stay that way but now he has gold on his neck and speckling down his back. And his feathers are kinda of a grayish/light black. I'm not sure if he is partridge, brown red, or blue partridge/brown red. He's weird! I'm also thinking he's a male . . .

Havi (#2) was hatched brownish grayish blue speckled. He was weird from the very beginning. He is still mixed up looking like that. He's kind of the lesser of the two and his tail hasn't grown out as long as Val's, but he has a rooster vibe to him. Am I right?

They are slightly over 2 months old. Standard sized. And I got them from eBay lol (interesting fact that may curve the judging). Teehee. They're my babies and I love them perhaps too much. And yes I keep them inside.

They are both partridge and it looks like a 1 pullet and 1 cockerell. Good luck!

They're coloring is very similar now that they've grown, but Havi has more gold on his face, down his chest and neck and Val only has it on his neck and shoulders. Val also has a taller crest and a longer tail.
