Got this guy whom I thought would feather out to be gold partridge but the brown on his chest really showed me and after going through pics online it somewhat made him look porcelain iny eyes but he lacks any white featheration though can't be certain because most coverage on his body are actually fluff, not actual feathers
He's pretty with no doubt but I always like to know what I'm working with cus I've booked down both partridge and light female chicks for him

Anyone got a clue?

Porcelain partridge is just gold partridge with (two copies of) the lavender gene. Lavender dilutes both black and red pigment to light grey and pale yellow/gold respectively. This bird is neither lavender nor partridge. He looks like a mixed color (the parents were different colors, maybe blackxbuff) or possibly buff columbian with excess black patterning.

It's very funny cus I saw both his parents and he looks nothing like them

His mum is a blue light hen not sure what the dad is but in the hatch the rest where light, only him and another a female came out complete buff

If those are his parents, then they have some funky underlying color genetics. The mother is lavender Colombian, not partridge at all. The father looks close to golden partridge, but he has lavender or splash underparts but black in his tail and striped down the saddle and hackle feathers.

Normally, the Colombian hen would pass on silver (She is silver based) not gold to her sons. But somehow this one ended up gold. So you either have very mixed coloring in the parents, or those aren't the parents at all.

I guess the colour genetically is the explanation cus that's the only roo who was around at that time and the hen hatched and raised the set he was amongst

So I guess he's variety-less?
What colour hens would you advise I cross him with

No, I don't think he is variety-less. I am guessing he is blue golden partridge, but the blue is incomplete since he has a black tail. His coloring also has both silver and gold components.

I would cross him with a partridge or dark (silver partridge) female to see what happens.

There is nothing wrong with mixed colors, though. Sometimes you get something special. Your rooster is a beauty.

Sorry not the dad he's not mine
I meant the young chick in question

Oh, sorry. I would try him with buff Brahma or light Brahma hens. He's closer to that than partridge or silver partridge, from my perspective. But he'll probably throw interesting chicks with any color of Brahma hen.
Alright thank you
Really appreciate the assistance
