Thanks again Sonoran for your help with the white thing. I do complete agree with you on the photo of Loki as I have one that looks just about the same. He is a real cutie...

What time do you get up in the morning? I thought I was an early bird

Even if you us the same partridge and white chicken to breed you will not get the same results. That is just part of mixing colors, they will not breed true.

From the exact same two birds one will get the same results, although there may be a number of different possibilities--breed those two enough and you will know what is possible and approximately the percentages (probably need at least 100 chicks to get any accuracy). But toss in a different white and you are back at square one.

I have 2 partridge silkies. Both are very feathered out, but not big, or fully fethered. One is A LOT darker in color around the neck and saddle. Is that a sign that its a male? I would love to have a pair!

don't quote me, but this should be the opposite... males are typically more colorful, and females are more brownish, in most all breeds and colors....

That's not always true either. At least it wasn't for me. You saw the pictures of the partridge that I got from my breeding the white to the partridge. 100% for me, but if I had continued I may have gotten some off colored ones. But I was just trying to see if this little guy could produce.

The cockerels are VERY bright on the neck. Do you have photos? We would be able to tell from that. It's impossible to tell from the desciption. I had downloaded about 4 photos on this page or the page before. The pullet was the last one, the rest were cockerels.
