Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

it is more colorful, the colors are just darker.

The cockerels are VERY bright on the neck. Do you have photos? We would be able to tell from that. It's impossible to tell from the desciption. I had downloaded about 4 photos on this page or the page before. The pullet was the last one, the rest were cockerels.

your photos will really help. I am going to go up and look and take some pictures of them later today when I have the chance!

Yay get pics. I have a bunch of partridge babies that I will taking to our swap next weekend in Sadieville if you want a couple pet quality babies for company. They are a bit older of course.

Not partridge; he looks like a grey with autosomal red (some call it tortoise). Cute bird

Thank you, I knew I could count on you for answers. At present he is growing out with a Buff and 2 Blacks which I am fairly sure are girls...what could I expect from those pairings? I also have a white girl that came from my partridge trio but I know white is a wild card.

To be honest, I do not know. We need Sonoran to come on. I (think) I know that if you put red with the leaky greys you can work on calico. Maybe buff would work too. Black I haven't even a guess except it may darken the grey. I am not a genetic person. I am an experimentor... But before you do this why don't you PM or email Sonoran. I'm sure she would be happy to answer your question and get you started. Scaredofshadows may be able to help too. I think it would be kind of fun to put him in with them. Do you have anything else going on as far as Silkies, or are these the only ones? If they are laying, what the heck.... I may even be interested in a couple of the chicks once we see how they color out.

Does anyone have pictures of their Partridge Silkies as babies, between 5-10 weeks old? I don't think I've ever seen one. (And I admit, I haven't gone back to all 107 pages to look)

How is everyone? Surviving the crazy weather back east? It's still record highs around here. 114 today. Blah. I just gave Goldie a bath, she is my BO heat stroke girl that I brought back from the brink in June. She no likey this heat, figured the bath would cool her down for the day. Plus, now she smells like lavender.

I know you are right in there with your guess. I have some about the same age and I want to say they are 6 wks. I don't have time now, but I have pictures... Heck I have a regular baby album... I have a couple about that age.
