Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

Actually looks more like a grey; if one parent was splash, it must be blue grey.

Interesting color though. Actually very pretty, but not a partridge. I would really like to see her as she gets older.

Of course we will be expecting pictures.

Pictures will have to wait. We didn't go pick it up. My boyfriend fell off a ladder about 12 feet and landed on concrete. We got a fun filled day in the hospital instead if a cute little fuzzy

Oh No!! Hope everything is okay. He's got to be one sore puppy!!! Hope that's all it is. Please keep us posted.

Dislocated shoulder they redid lots of xrays today since he is so sore and swollen. Stinks but it could certainly be a lot worse!!

Depending on how she fills out. If I decided to show her, what would I show her as AOV, Grey....?

Well, I have been pondering the same thing as Ihave a handsome boy who is grey, with blue replacing black. Initially I thought something like silver blue, but that is already a recognised variety, that is not a match, so I thought, well it is blue partridge, therefore it must be blue grey. I don't like made up names but prefer to stick with something as close to the description as possible. If anyone has a more accurate name for the variety, by all means, speak up. And yes, definitely AOV.

I love her color.

Can you show any unusual color as AOV? Hope this isn't a really stupid question

I just ordered my first silkies - partridge...because the coloring is sooo beautiful. Yes, hatchery - but I had to start somewhere! I can't wait. Three more weeks.

I keep trying to figure this out. When I bought this "guy" I thought it was a buff... but Im starting to think maybe its a light partridge. Anyone have a guess or should I wait for it to get older and more baby fluff to fall out?

Pretty sure the left is black (could be really dark blue but I dont think so) and I know the one on the right is a Partridge... Im asking about the one in the middle:

Edit: Im referring to those darker speckles on the wings and the kinda brown blue fuzz along the back... Hard to take a picture of but if you stare long enough you might see it

Thanks
