Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

Finally got to take some fair pics of the Silkie clan. They are 14 weeks old as of Saturday.

This is my favorite boy, "Kramer"

This is "Frankie", the Blue Partridge? who has a lot of red on him, and those nasty wings. He is holding his wings particularly low in the pic, that is not his normal stance! He does not have split wing, I've checked that. I did notice in the pic, that the hard feathers on his wings are at least starting to shred. Guess I'll just wait and see how he matures. The dark blue in the background with his head up, was one of the ones born with the Partridge markings. Nothing but blue right now.

This is "Marigold", she is the shy, quiet one of the bunch

This is "Brace". She is a very faded color, and was the runt of the Partridge clan. She developed spraddle leg on day one, so I had to brace her. She is just fine now.

Here is Frankie again, holding his wing a bit better. The little butthead refused to turn and look at me, until I turned off the camera! I feel his wings are his biggest fault, he acts like they are too heavy for him. I still hold out hope the hard feathers will molt out. They weren't shredded at all last week, so in a week these guys have changed quite a bit.

So, am I looking a Blue Partridges here?? Opinions please, I have a thick hide, have at!

That happened to several of mine that started out light like that. Kramer is beautiful. Definitely hang on to him. Is Marigold the white one or the other partridge facing front? She seems very nice. But like I said there will be major changes by the time they are 6 months old.

Frankie may just have loose wings. I have some like that and it drives me nuts. It's not a good trait to have.

Thanks Pennie! Yes, Kramer is a keeper, I can only see him getting better. Marigold is the Partridge, and she has a very nice shape to her too. Yes, Frankie's wings drive me nuts everytime I look at them! I'm hoping against hope they change and tighten up, they sure do change a lot even within a short time, so I'll just keep hoping. He is a real chunker, as is Kramer, nice depth and width across the shoulders, breasts, and backs. Frankie has even gotten darker in coloring since last week, so his red may end up finally in more of the right places later on. I sure wish my photography skills and my camera were better. Some of the pics kind of got washed out.

So far 2 people has choosen roo.I was thinking same thing when I took a closer look.
