Hey Pennie, I have a question for you if you have the time to answer
. I have a little black pullet with brown on her chest/neck, is this what you consider a "Redneck" Silkie, or is she just a mix color? Here are some pictures
And my Blue Partridge, which I believe is a pullet
Please excuse her lack of foot fluff, she's been getting her feet wet a lot lately and she doesn't have super fluffy feet anyway..but how is her toe spacing?
My Partridge cockerel. This boy is just a doll, but one of his pen-mates (a Buttercup cockerel of about the same age, been housed together since babyhood) decided to be mean to him yesterday morning, picking on him and making him freak out. I was so worried that he had hurt himself so I brought him inside for the whole day and later on he seemed okay..This morning he was active and acting normal so I brought him back out to the runs, he was out there for a few mins in the transport cage when he just started freaking out again, I hadn't even put him back in with his buddies. Looked like he had hurt himself again but seems as though it was maybe just a muscle pulled in his neck or a kink or something? He's sleeping in my room ATM, tried trimming his crest & beard, thought maybe that was part of the problem..Hoping he's going to be okay
How is his comb shape & color?
I have two other Partridge roo's also but I don't have any good recent photos of them. When I got my first Silkies I was talked into getting a couple Partridge by the lady I bought them through, didn't think I'd be too super crazy about them (what I really wanted was the white & blue) but I really love the color now and can't wait until spring so that I can get more, lol. I also didn't think I'd like the Blacks, but now I have two Black pullets and they're really pretty. Definitely getting more of those also
. Along with a Grey pullet or two..And some more Buffs..Hmm, I better make a list lol!
