Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

Pics
None of ours have ever been like this. Maybe he got injured on the head at some point by 1 of the other roosters.

I hope you find him a good home. I must have horrible luck with Silkie roos...I've never had a nice one. And the one I have who is the worst...is the prettiest one!

Nothing will deter the behavior. But I love him anyway. When he gets on my nerves, I force feed him blackberries to shut him up. Luckily, he only acts this way on his home territory. He's an angel at shows. And I did breed a mean roo once (not on purpose, we didn't think he was breeding the hen)...his spawn was worse than him. LOL

I have 2 other breeding roos that are just as sweet and cuddly. It's just him and that's enough! All of his offspring are as sweet as can be, and like I said in an earlier post, his parents and siblings are all sweet. I wonder if waddles have anything to do with it? He's got them, his father doesn't and either does his 2 brothers. I don't know. Maybe when he was in with other roosters they knocked him on his head once too many times.

I don't even let the behavior faze me anymore. Mine is terrible with people, but great with the girls. Well, big wattles usually point toward the 'dominant roo' (The bigger, the better, for a roo wanting to be on top).

Roughly an hour and a half.

Do you have any PQ Silkies that need a home? I have the nicest guy that had picked out a chick and paid for it. Well, it has to be a pullet (he's right in Brooklyn). Well then the weather got too warm to ship and I asked him if he wanted his money back and he told me to keep it until I find a nice chick or 2 for him. He's a beginner, a true lover of animals and the nicest guy in the world. So I am on a mission to find him something. He might be able to drive to you, I'm not sure.

It kills me to say that I have the friendliest girl (white), I would even say BQ, that I've been looking to rehome. But to a non-Silkie home. She has a fettish for silkie feathers (no idea where she got it from-no one else has ever done that) and I wouldn't want to burden anyone with that. Very frustrating.

I wish I could hook you/him up with someone closer but I'm afraid the closest breeder I know of is in Jersey.

Hi I hatched out several silkies earlier this year from a few different breeders. Wouldn't you know, I hatched out 4 partridge females and no males (when does that ever happen lol!) Anyhow, my choices of a roo to put in with them right now is, A) a dark blue roo or B) a Splash roo. Which one should I use? I have a white roo as well but he is really pet quality because his comb is bright red so I don't wanna use him.

This guy has no other birds besides an African Grey that he rescued. This bird is going to be a house chicken. Does this sound like a good home for her?

Useing any of them you are likely to end up with - ummm, I'm not sure. If it were me, I wouldn't use any of them. Hopefully someone else will pipe in.
