Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

i have a queston aov is any other variety right also can u show birds at shows that are not recognized such as paints for an example sorry for dumb questions i am just getting into showing and cant wait for my first show this spring

AOV = any other variety

Paints, Porcelain, blue partridge, calico, etc etc are all shown as AOV.

kk ty for the replys can these colours win i know its not likely

They can win color variety and AOV I think, but thats it I believe. They can't take best of breed (I may be wrong, but I think I remember reading this) I know they can't go on to compete for champ Feather leg or show or anything like that.

No standard for blue partridge it is an AOV color.

How you get a standard is breeders have to decide what to aim towards. A certain number of different breeders have to breed the color true for a number of years, have a certain number of birds through those years, showing the birds for a time as well... and then turn in a written standard to the ABA to be considered. Theres more to it, but I just put it as simply as I remember it. LOL

Thanks for the info. I guess it will be a while. =D I am breeding for some blue partridge. Hope I don't mess anything up. I bet the AOV classes are fun to see.

o ok so if there not a regonized colour they only go for aov and if they are regonized they can go for best silkie best bantem featherleg or even go for best in show
