Is this youngster a silver partridge pullet? (the wing feather image is getting a yellowish cast from the light reflecting off the box she is in - the feathers are grey)





Looks like s/he might still have some of the chipmunk chick eyeliner going on.

She Indeed and not only for the eyeliner. The peppering on the wingfeathers is also typical for a partridge female.

Yes this chick looks like a partridge chipmunk

Just take a look through this thread to see pics of newly hatched chicks. The Partridge variety, has markings very similar to a chipmunk.
