I had the comment that none of mine would ever need their eye feathers trimmed but poor thing is definatly having more trouble seeing than the others, she has gone from running back to the house with them to not going faster than a walk and she even bumped into the swing today. You can definatly see a difference in how she gets round compared to her non silkie siblings. So she is getting a trim tonight after she settles for bed so had to take a before photo while she still had her full mop top
Can someone tell me if they think this ShowGirl is a pullet?
"She" will be 9 weeks old Wed. I know that's young, but am really hoping for a pullet. She has no bump for a comb. I have a black as well, but he has a defined bump where his comb should be, so I think I got a black roo and this one is a pullet. I hope anyway. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks
Lunar, the pattern is hard to say...I want to say its a pullet, but the tell-tale neck feathers(and pattern/color I'd use to really gauge sex) are missing on Showgirls, so its still a toss up.

I wanted to post an updated picture of my "accidental" partridge from blue/black/splash eggs. We thought for sure she would lose the brown, but she has blossomed into such a pretty silkie. I'm totally in love with her and can't wait to start a partridge pen some day. Cinnamuffin is 40 weeks old (10 months) but has not laid any eggs yet.
Cinnamuffin (aka: Fluffy) has such a big bonnet crest that you can just barely see her beak.
