Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

We'll be holding off of getting our silkies
we've been blessed with 4 new bantams, and possibly four more off today
maybe If I can adopt out a couple of the roosters I'll replace with a couple silkies next year

Most bantams are flighty except for Silkies because they can't fly which is why we went with Silkies.

What breed are your 4 new bantams and possibly 4 more? Keep an eye out on their flightiness as they can really soar LOL.

Really would have to take a photo of the mama & papa because they are not my chickens, and no telling where my granddad got them.
About 2 years ago they were in the big coop with white silkies. Silkies found another home these just stayed on the farm yard.
I wll get over there with my long lens and take a few pics with my good camera, you don't get too close to them.
We are just housing them this year since we've already started with other chickens, other wise these would already be gone I believe.
The hen is back setting on the final four eggs, they may not hatch, but we will see..
I was attempting to sex these chicks by their wings, but I'm not sure I got the right/great pics.
I think I am definitely keeping the little silver guy, the feathers just look different, I was curious to see how it turned out.

I have a post started that I was dedicating to just these chickies, pm if you want the link to check it out, I do not want to get OT here on this thread.

I still want some Partridge silkies, maybe I can find someone local who want to trade out bantams...LOL

I just want to share my pretty partridge silkie roo who I had purchased as a 4 month old pullet, and then the crowing started at 6 months. I was disappointed at first but as he has matured I have fallen in love. So after a name change from Foxy Lady to Merle Haggard he is ready to meet the girls!
He is now turning 8 months old this month.

Handsome Fellow! I miss my Partridge boy. We named him "Trumpet" because he sounded like a Trumpeter Swan. We couldn't keep him - no roos allowed - but still miss him.
